If your pet has a medical emergency during regular business hours, call the clinic at 250-295-0312 to notify us of the nature of your emergency, as well as your estimated time of arrival. If you call and hear a message during regular business hours, it means the phone line is busy. Leave a message and then start travelling to the clinic immediately afterwards. It is important that you call first if at all possible, as we may instruct you to perform certain life-saving steps depending on the nature of the emergency prior to you travelling to the clinic. This is especially important for pet owners who are outside of town limits. Severe medical emergencies will take priority over non-emergency scheduled appointments.

We are located at 240 Bridge St. in Princeton BC, beside Shopper’s Drug Mart.

Call the regular clinic number, 250-295-0312 and listen carefully to the message. We are almost always on call for after hours emergency services. If this is the case, the message will direct you to call the veterinarian’s home phone. Again, if you get a message on our home phone, listen carefully and please leave a message. Occasionally we are unable to provide after-hours emergency services. If this is the case, the message on the clinic number (250-295-0312) will notify you that we are not on call, and will instruct you which number to call. We typically forward call to Fairfield Animal Hospital, a 24-hour emergency clinic located in Kelowna. We are located at 240 Bridge St. in Princeton BC, beside Shopper’s Drug Mart.

We provide hospitalization for pets who require intensive veterinary care and are not able to be cared for in their own homes. Your pet will be comfortable and well looked after during their stay. Pets are monitored throughout the night. We provide regular up-dates on your pet’s condition, and encourage owners to schedule a time to visit their pet in hospital regularly. Just like us, pets appreciate a visit from a familiar face when they’re not feeling well.

If your dog has been severely injured and lost a large amount of blood, a transfusion can be a life-saving procedure. Blood tests performed at our clinic will let us know if your dog needs a transfusion, as well as whether they are a candidate for this procedure. We transfuse with fresh samples rather than frozen, as we have several canine heroes available to donate blood if needed.
